Coach Tim

I have been working professionally with animals for more than 12 years. With degrees in both Master of Photography and Photographic Craftsman from the professional Photographers of America, I made the decision to focus on pet portraits. With a huge passion for pets and a strong desire to give back, I began volunteering at an animal shelter and discovered that by utilizing my photographic skills to highlight homeless pets, we could help them gain more exposure and find forever homes. Based on the success and increased adoptions rate, I was offered a marketing position with Great Plains SPCA. Always a pet advocate, I found out about a shelter that was on the verge of closing its doors and knew that I had to help, so I joined the team at Prairie Paws Animal Shelter as their Director of Operations. My accomplishments include: Fear Free Level 3 certification, Fear Free Trainer certification, and I’ve completed the Jackson Galaxy Cat Pawsitive Shelter Training Program, learning among other things the value of clicker training in cats. I have also completed the Mentorship programs from Dogs Playing for Life in both Texas and Florida, learning how to conduct playgroup sessions, and the Mentorship Level 2 program, learning how to rehabilitate aggressive and reactive dogs. I used this training and these certifications to help develop the training program for Prairie Paws Animal Shelter. Finally, I have extensive medical knowledge, and consider myself an expert in herd management and disease control and prevention.

Auntie Becky

Animals have had my heart since I was very young. I grew up rescuing and residing with cats, dogs, reptiles, fish, birds and bunnies. Animals love you more than you love yourself and it’s beautiful. I have volunteered at various pet rescue organizations in the area and currently spend the majority of my days working for a non-profit rescue organization. I have spent countless hours learning about animal behavior and best practices for a healthy pet. I have completed Dr. Marty Becker’s Fear Free Shelter Program Core Modules and am a Certified Level 3 Fear Free Professional. The Mission of Fear Free is to prevent and alleviate fear, anxiety and stress in pets by inspiring and educating the people who care for them (fearfreehappyhomes.com). I hold a Certificate in Veterinary Assistance from Kansas City Community College and am certified in Pet CPR. I am honored to use my skills and experience to help provide the best care for your awesome fur babies.

I was very excited to start working for Just-Fur-Babies in June 2019, and now have one full year under my belt! I had wanted to do something with animals for as long as I can remember and was happy to find a company in my area that looked promising. Animals have always had a place in my heart and my life for as long as I can remember and the fact that I get to make sure pets get the attention they deserve and care that they need is honestly a wonderful feeling! I’m very excited to further my knowledge of being able to understand and take care of all the fur babies with the best knowledge and care we can provide. I received my Pet First Aid Certification in August 2019 and furthered my education in becoming a Fear Free Professional in July 2020.

Auntie Jill

Originally from Leavenworth, Kansas, I grew up on a small farm surrounded by almost every type of animal imaginable … horses, cows, goats, bunnies, cats and dogs to name a few.  A retired nurse, mom of 3 and Mimi/Step-mimi to 10, I’ve always wanted to be a “Stay at Home Dog Mom” and now my wish has come true!

I’ve always had animals in my home and following the death of my Chocolate Lab 10+ years ago, I joined an animal rescue and began rescuing dogs and cats (not in a hoarding sort of way) 🙂 It was through the rescue work that I knew that I’d found a “calling” that extended beyond caring for humans in time of sickness.

Animals love unconditionally and faithfully and the best part about coming home is the wagging of a tail, or the meow from a cat. My husband and I are empty nesters, so our dogs are our children, providing us with so much companionship, laughter and love.   It was my love and commitment to my own personal animals that led me to Kelly and Just Fur-Babies as a client and now I’m blessed enough to have the opportunity to work alongside her, providing reassurance and peace of mind to pet parents while being able to love on and care for their pets while they’re away.
