Owner of Just Fur-Babies

As the owner and founder of Just Fur-Babies, I am fulfilling my dream and passion for animals. For over 20 years, I was a leader in corporate sales. My training instilled the importance of forging lasting long term relationships and the highest quality of customer service. I was repeatedly acknowledged for my outstanding sales performance, winning several awards. My creative strategies enabled me to surpass company goals and excel in my corporate career.

Personally, I used pet sitters for 7 years prior to moving to Kansas City. In 2015, I accepted a job transfer to relocate to Olathe. Being a single pet parent, new to the area and not knowing anyone, I struggled to find the quality care for my own fur family. I had to make a decision and walked away from my successful corporate career to make a difference in pet care. My childhood dreams were filled with aspirations of growing up and having a professional career working with animals – Just Fur-Babies has fulfilled that childhood dream. The inception….

My relationships continue to grow as I collaborate both locally as well as nationally with business owners, subject matter industry experts and others to keep Just Fur-Babies one of the premier pet care providers in Kansas City. Family members come in all shapes and sizes – two legs or four, they are our children. I have dedicated my career to providing the highest expected care and knowledge as a professional in our industry to pet parents across the Kansas City area!

I was very excited to start working for Just-Fur-Babies in June 2019. I had wanted to do something with animals for as long as I can remember and was happy to find a company in my area that looked promising. Animals have always had a place in my heart and my life for as long as I can remember and the fact that I get to make sure pets get the attention they deserve and care that they need is honestly a wonderful feeling! I’m very excited to further my knowledge of being able to understand and take care of all the fur babies with the best knowledge and care we can provide.

Aunt Krista, FFCP

For as long as I can remember, my family has been stewards for animals of many species. The joy of a family pet is immeasurable. They facilitate comfort and love in so many ways. It is important to me to ensure a happy and thriving environment for all fur-babies. Working with Just Fur-Babies is a joy and opportunity to assist and observe the care of domestic animals.

I started with Just Fur-Babies in 2022, while living in California. I provided support to the team in Kansas City, extending to all Just Fur-Babies clients as well. In September 2023, I relocated to Kansas City, with four wonderful dogs and one amazing cat. We share the Just Fur-Babies culture of caring for your fur-babies where they love to live.

In 2022, I was thrilled to start working for Just Fur Babies. I have always had pets and my love for them has grown even more. I have a passion for learning and understanding all different types of animals. As a past client, I was so happy with the care and attention this company has shown to my fur babies past and present that it just made sense for me to come aboard. I recently retired from the corporate world and am excited to start this next chapter of my life.

Aunt Melissa, FFCP

In 2023, I became a Just Fur Babies pet care specialist and could not wait to meet new feline friends! I currently work part time for a veterinarian clinic in Overland Park. My 23 years of experience as a veterinary technician include emergency and specialty skills. I have attended multiple American Association of Feline Practitioners (AAFP) conferences and had an integral part of my clinic becoming AAFP certified. I have helped implement and introduce fear free restraint training in several clinics.

When I am not working, my spare time is spent with my husband and children, reading, and watching movies. My volunteer time includes working as a Girl Scout leader for the past 6 years. Currently, I lead my daughter’s Cadette troop and a Brownie troop. I assisted my daughter’s troop to earn their Bronze Award last year by enriching the lives of shelter pets. They created cat scratchers out of recycled Girl Scout cookie boxes and donated them to KC Pet Project.

I have three handsome black cats and a sweet schnauzer at home that I love to spoil.

From a young age, animals have held a special place in my heart. Whether it’s the wag of a tail, the gentle purr of a cat, or the boundless energy of a playful pup, their presence has always brought me immense joy.

I joined Just Fur-Babies in 2023, and my main goal is to ensure that your furry friends receive the love and care they truly deserve. I completely understand that each pet is special and has their own unique needs and personalities. You can trust that I am reliable, compassionate, and responsible. I will make sure to stick to their regular routines, provide them with nutritious meals, and ensure that they are happy and healthy. Throughout your time away, I will keep you updated with regular messages and send you adorable photos of your pets’ adventures. Open communication is incredibly important to me, as my ultimate aim is to bring happiness to your pets and give you peace of mind.

When I’m not busy, you can find me curled up with a good book on my days off. Reading is my other great passion, and it allows me to explore new worlds and gain insights.

Aunt Sara

I have been pet sitting for friends for the past seven years. I have enjoyed it so much, I investigated becoming a pet care specialist with Just Fur-Babies. Since joining the team in the summer of 2024, I have learned so much and I look forward to learning more. Providing continued care for pets in their own homes is important to me. They feel most comfortable while their parents are gone, and their parents have a peace of mind knowing the quality of care their pets receive is my top priority!

I have an amazing full time position as a recreational therapist and enjoy playing volleyball and reading.
